Baolian Taiwan took years to develop a worthy and better alternative to the leaf-switch push buttons
from the distant past (even before the advent of the microswitch)
Leaf spring push buttons (also called leaf switch) are rarely encountered anymore, but they were used in the early years of
arcade video games as well as in pinball machines back then.
Unfortunately, leaf spring push buttons also had/have a downside, as they need to be carefully adjusted and require some maintenance from time to time because the leaf springs
due to oxidation and contamination over time start working less well or no longer make contact at all. 
So in the heyday of the arcade ins industry and the many millions of cabinets played worldwide, those were quite a few knobs that needed regular maintenance.

Decades later, there is finally a manufacturer that can give us back the feel of the leaf switch but without

Due to the clever design of the plunger, even with over-fanatic use, the microswitch is protected from being pushed too far.
