Product Description
To simplify the installation of your DMDs on your Pincab, we offer a ready-to-install DMD P2.5 kit.
This kit contains two DMD P2.5 panels pre-installed on their frames, an STM32 circuit board with updated firmware, and the Pin2DMD software (license not included and payable separately).
This kit will save you time installing the DMD on your Pincab.
The Pin2DMD software solution can read PAL/VNI and PAC files. The shield also simplifies the STM32 connection to the DMD boards.
It has a 5V input with a removable terminal block that powers the STM32 board (no more mini-USB cables needed!) and the DMD boards with a 4.2V output terminal block.
A Pin2DMD license typically costs €20 per device for personal use. This amount is considered a donation to the project and is intended to activate the software on your specific hardware.
It is a one-time fee and essential for accessing the full functionality of the Pin2DMD software, such as color support and compatibility with various pinball platforms.

Note: We recommend using a 5V/12A terminal block power supply to power the STM32 board and the DMD boards. N.B.2: This product is designed for virtual pinball machines and will not work on a stock pinball machine.

Important to know:The RGB LED displays require 5V/DC for power, and if you want them to operate at full strength, they require a lot of power.
A 5A power supply should be sufficient. You must connect that power supply to both panels. You can also use 5A DC/DC 12V to 5V converters for real pinball machines.
Make sure the power supply is set to 4.8V before using them. The EVO PCBs have a DC/DC converter circuit on board.
NEVER use the 5V rail from your pinball machine or the 12V from the original DMD power connector. You risk overloading and destroying your pinball machine hardware if you do so.
For example, WPC machines can only supply 1A from the 12V of the original DMD power connector, which is not enough for a Pin2DMD.
Check your pinball machine's schematics before connecting it to an internal 12V power supply.
