SLG VGA Scanline Generator + RGB correction, For An Authentic CRT Look!

If you own a collection of retro games from yesteryear, chances are you remember what they looked like on a 4: 3 CRT picture tube.
At the time, picture tubes had a much lower resolution than today's LCD screens and lacked the scan lines inherent in the CRT technique.
If you don't own a CRT monitor and still want to get as close as possible to how the makers of the game intended, you can
also get a reasonably authentic image on an LCD screen with this SLG scanline generator.

The SLG-VGA scanline generator is ideal for JAMMA game PCBs with VGA connection.
Keep in mind that scanlines on horizontal game pcb's that also contain vertical games are only displayed horizontally.
The VGA signal is sensitive to noise, so we definitely recommend using a high quality VGA cable.

To connect the SLG you need an extra VGA cable or VGA male-female adapter block.
The scanline generator does not require an external power supply.

Service:
A. ON / OFF: You can easily turn the scan lines on and off without removing the board.
B. The intensity of the scan line can be adjusted by three adjustable resistors on the scanner (RGB correction).
C. Scan line width can be adjusted to single line or double line.
D. You can flip the horizontal signal to use a different scan line for the resolution. 640 * 480 / 60Hz or 1024 * 768 / 60Hz.
E. ODD / EVEN can move the scan rule up or down one line.

Tip: Before adjusting, first turn the blue channel completely off and set red and green to halfway.
Start by opening the blue channel a little further until the scanlines fade to dark gray / black.
Then adjust the red and green channels so that the colors are shown as desired.
Other color corrections can optionally be done via the menu of the monitor.
