Ultimarc U-Trak Fireball Red Arcade Trackball

With the development of the U-trak trackball, Ultimark took a good look at the wishes of arcade builders and created this very nice trackball from the ground up.
redesigned and made suitable for mounting in thick wooden control panels without screw heads at the top.
Where other trackballs are only suitable for steel panels or require difficult milling, the installation of the Ultimarc U-trak is a piece of cake.
Also the often bad spinability of many trackballs straight out of the box is absolutely out of the question with the U-trak.
The large 3 inch (76mm) track-ball is of the highest quality and guarantees years of playing pleasure.

Fixing methods:
4 Screws and expanded copper inserts are included. The inserts are designed to fit into "blind" holes and not visible from the top of the panel.

Important Note:
Carefully check beforehand that the supplied screws cannot pierce through the top of the panel.
If necessary, adjust the length of the bolts.

Mounting without trim:
Use a hole saw or flying knife to drill an 82mm diameter hole.
Note that the vertical part of the housing is slightly conical due to one piece production.
To allow for a perfect fit, the bottom hole needs to be filed or sanded a little wider.
Mount the trackball with the arrow on the top of the housing facing the back of the panel. Drill 4 "blind" pilot holes through the mounting holes. Then remove the trackball and enlarge the holes to 1/4 inch (6 mm). TIP: To drill blind holes, use the tape around the drill bit as a depth guide. Tap the expanding inserts into place. Install trackball and screw in place.

Mounting with trim:
The optimum panel thickness for this method is (17 mm). A 19mm panel can be used, but the flange will then be approximately 3mm above the ball rim. Use a hole saw to cut a hole approximately 86mm in diameter. If you only own a 90mm hole saw, this is also sufficient.
Mount the trackball with the arrow on the top of the housing facing the back of the panel. Drill 4 "blind" pilot holes through the mounting holes. Then remove the trackball and enlarge the holes to 1/4 inch (6 mm). Tap the expanding inserts into place. Install trackball and screw in place. Push the ring over the housing. Glue can be used if necessary

USB connections (optional)
The USB interface supports left and right mouse buttons. Suitable wires with contacts can be found in the "Mini-PAC Extension Harness Kit" which can be ordered in the Mini-PAC section of our shop.
The black wire indicated in the image above is not used by the trackball. This is the left button connection.
The unused contact next to it is the right button connection.
The COM terminals of the mouse button switches must be connected to a suitable ground (for example, an I-PAC ground or PC case).
