Baolian Taiwan spent years developing a worthy—and even better—alternative to the classic leaf-switch pushbuttons from the distant past (even before the rise of the microswitch). Leaf-switch buttons are rarely seen nowadays, but they were frequently used in the early years of arcade video games and pinball machines because of their smooth, silent operation. Unfortunately, they had a downside: they constantly had to be meticulously adjusted and were highly sensitive to maintenance due to oxidation and dirt. For that reason, manufacturers back then switched en masse to buttons with clicking microswitches. A blessing for the maintenance technician, but actually a step backward for the player; after all, it took much more force to press the buttons, which became fatiguing during long gaming sessions.

The solution is finally here. This updated LED Gold-Leaf pushbutton gives you exactly that smooth, clickless feeling of the classic leaf-switch back, but without the disadvantages. The entire button is made of high-quality transparent plastic and lights up beautifully and evenly thanks to the built-in 5V SMD LEDs. Thanks to the smart design of the plunger, the internal switch is perfectly protected against being pressed too far, even during over-enthusiastic use. So feel free to go all out! With a total length of just 31 mm, this LED button is also the perfect solution for compact enclosures, bartops, or projects where the internal mounting depth is limited, but where lighting is an absolute must.
